Converted in 2008-2009 by a gentleman in Ohio, who did a very professional job. Battery boxes make of TIG-welded aluminum sheet! Body of truck is in fantastic shape. Clutchless, drives great. Power brakes; heater; manual windows. Molded plastic bed liner (not in photo) and tri-fold cargo cover included. Advanced DC #FB1-4001A 9.1" double shaft series wound motor, 25.2 HP continuous, 43 HP for 5 min, 85 HP peak. Soliton1 DC motor controller with recently upgraded firmware. PFC2500 120/240V onboard charger with twist-lock connection under "gas cap." I have never really pushed the range, because my commute is only ~9 miles roundtrip. Once I drove to work and almost immediately home, and still had plenty of juice left, so I'm guessing the range might be 30-40 miles or more. I love this truck, but need to make space for another project. The guy who did the conversion must have put well over $15k into the vehicle, so this is a great buy for the EV enthusiast. The US-250-HC batteries are approaching end of life (2009 vintage), but at this price you can choose to put in a new set of lead acids or upgrade to lithium!

add to favorites For Sale: Electric Vehicles - Electric Cars for Sale FS: 1971 Karmann Ghia conversion $ 8,500.00
Due to life circumstances, I need to sell my beloved Karmann Ghia conversion. It has a Netgain Impulse 9 motor mounted to the normal VW 4-speed transmission, along with a custom hydraulic clutch pedal. Currently I drive it in 3rd, but have experimented with other gearing patterns. For instance starting off the line in 2nd, then shifting to 4th when at speed makes sense in some cases. It can get to 80 miles/hr and handle itself well on the highway. The controller is a Kelly KDHD-14800, rated for 800 amps. It's mounted to a huge heatsink that's in turn mounted directly underneath the vents on the rear hood. The result also looks very cool when showing the car to people. Unfortunately I think the controller needs to be replaced - the only flaw in the car is that the performance isn't what it had been a couple years ago, I'd tried debugging what's going on and the only remaining culprit is the controller. It gets hot during use, while in the past it remained cool even after 30+ miles on the highway. The battery pack is a 144 volt 45 cell 100 amp-hour ThunderSky system, in a custom box designed by Lightning Motorcycle. The BMS is their design as well. It does balancing during charging and can control the charger (a Manzanita PFC40) to ensure the pack isn't overcharged. There is a feature to adjust the throttle if the pack is too low, but we didn't hook that up. You'll have to contact Lightning to see how to do it if you want that feature. The BMS has an information display for the driver to see battery pack conditions while driving. I don't see any weakness in the battery pack. I'll include one spare cell that was weak, which I replaced. The Manzanita PFC40 can, in the right conditions, charge the car in about 2 hours after driving 45 miles or so. The charger is of course very adjustable, automatically handling 120 volt or 240 volt, and with the convenient knob you can use any power outlet and get up to 40 amps (or so) charging rate. I'll include a fleet of adapter cords that includes a modern J1772 adapter, as well as an old-school AVCON adapter. The rear seat area was not sacrificed to hold a battery pack. It's available as a seat, but I used it as a cargo area. The front trunk has the charging equipment, and there is a bit of room to hold some cargo. The top is in perfect condition, and makes for a very nice riding experience in the right weather. The exterior is flawless other than the white-walls not quite being pure white any longer. While I never kept it garaged, I always had it covered. People always stop to gawk at the car and have told me so many stories about their own Karmann Ghia experiences. And then they get impressed about it being electric. Or else they see the ELECTRIC logo on the rear and want to ask about that. In any case, the car creates conversation everywhere I drive it. The interior is pretty close to original VW, appropriate Karmann Ghia logo's on the right places and so on. I recently put in some nice floormats and modern seat belts. I've invested over $20,000 in creating this car. I started driving it in its current state in september 2011. Prior to that it had a Wilderness Electric 72 volt conversion kit installed, barely got 50 miles/hr and barely 10 miles range. Included is the Hydrometer that came with the car which I kept as a souvenir to remind me about lead-acid battery maintenance. Asking for $8500 shipped tulbure271@gmail.com

I have a Mitsubishi truck that is converted from a gasoline vehicle to run on electric .It is a basic truck .It runs off 72 volts and can be higher voltages if desired, and can easily be set up to partly charge off solar . It will run 30 to 40 miles per charge and can easily be setup to go farther . The body is good with no rust. This truck will do what any other like truck will do except not use gas . The batteries are dead and will need to be replaced. I can replace them BUT the price will go up . I can also upgrade the cables and charger but again the price will increase. I can answer any questions you have on it . The price is 1500 or 3400 with new batteries and charger (if it costs me less than 3400 I will pass that on to you). If you are tired of buying gas this would a great vehicle for you. This is not a hybrid it is a pure electric vehicle .Thanks you may also call me at 812-four93-six256
add to favorites For Sale: Electric Vehicles - Electric Cars for Sale 1982 VW Scirocco Conversion $ 5,000.00
I converted this Scirocco in 2011-2012, and used it as my daily driver until last year. Life happened, and it's been sitting in my garage for the last year. I'm moving in the spring, and it's time to say goodbye, and send her off to a new home. The body is in great shape, and has updated upholstery, tires/rims, suspension, brakes, and dashboard. It ran great while I was still using it, and just needs a new battery pack to get back to form. Some details on the hardware: Motor: Kostov 9" (bought new 2012, ~10k miles) Controller: Raptor 1200 (bought used, had some problems during the build, completely rebuilt by manufacturer and no problems since) Charger: Zivan NG3, set up for 153 V LiFePO4 pack Batteries: Need to be replaced! 45 HiPower 100AH LiFePO4 batteries Other Stuff: MiniBMS battery monitoring system, vacuum pump for brakes, 2 emergency stops (manual handle plus crash sensor), custom contactor box Miscellaneous notes: - The car currently doesn't run! You'll need to bring batteries if you want to drive it away. - The speedometer and tachometer had long since failed when I started the conversion... replaced with a digital tach and GPS speedo, but I never got the speedo to work - I took out the back seats to make a shelf for the electronics... I've still got the seats, and you can have them - I also have a bunch of random Scirocco parts that you can have. - I've got receipts, installation manuals, etc. for just about everything in the car - I live in Long Beach, CA. Prefer you pick up, but will consider towing it to you if that's a deal breaker.

add to favorites For Sale: Electric Vehicles - Electric Cars for Sale 1978 Datsun 280z (Nissan) $ 5,000.00
1978 Datsun 280z (Nissan) converted to plug-in electric. A classic sports car that needs no oil, gas, coolant or smog certificate. This 280z is equipped with: Netgain Warp 9" DC motor (less than 3,000 miles) BF Goodrich Advantage tires (less than 2,000 miles) Fiberglass racing hood (takes 50lbs off and allows full access under the hood) Curtis controller 144 vdc. It was running at 120 volts using lithium iron phosphate batteries. The batteries died but the battery management system is pretty new and can be used with a new set of similar batteries. The acrylic enclosure and binding straps for the batteries are also included. The car is not running but with a new set of batteries it will be good to go. The car charges overnight using a standard outlet but the charger also works at 220v for a faster charge. As far as performance, I've driven it up to 90mph on the highway. The speed, range and charge time will be determined by your choice of batteries. A steel trunk was installed where the gas tank used to be. I only had batteries under the front hood so there is a lot more room for batteries than what I was running. The range could be greatly extended by utilizing that space for batteries as well. There are some extra parts like the stock mirrors, emblems, extra headlamps, dash cover. The heater/defroster unit is very loud and not efficient. The interior needs work but mechanically, it is a nearly new electric car conversion in a sleek body. You will not find an electric 280z for less money. Batteries not included. Complements, looks and blown minds are included.

Electric Car Conversion Warrensburg Missouri This is an electric car conversion using a 2002 Ford focus. The car has a new 132 volt AGM battery pack installed and a 20 HP DC electric fork lift motor with a Cougar 500 Amp 144 volt controller. The charging system was designed to be used with any 110 volt outlet with 15 amps of capacity. From a full discharge, it takes approximately 8 hours to charge and costs about 50 cents in electricity. The car has a maximum range of 25 miles and a top speed of 70 mph. By calculating the current cost of gas at $2.00, the car will get equivalent to 100 mpg. As gas prices continue to rise (to $4.00) the equivalent miles per gallon will reach 200 mpg. If you live in town this is a perfect car. I can go to work, pick up kids, run some errands, and come back home all for less than 50 cents. I would love to keep the car but I have a new 9 month old baby and I need some cash for bills but I might consider a trade for something of equivalent value such as an atv, motorcycle, jet ski, camper trailer, etc. $4,000 OBO Please call or text 660 441 three one nine one.
